(Sutton Road, Sutton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sutton Road, Sutton in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Purdeys Way, south eastwards and the southwards for a distance of approximately 1776 metres to its junction with Chandlers Way.

The closure is scheduled to commence for 2 nights between the 24 January 2012 and 24 February 2012 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works to install double white lines and road studs is undertaken.

The alternative route will be via Barling Road - A1159 Royal Artillery Way - Eastern Avenue - Priory Crescent - Manners Way -Southend Road - Sutton Road and vice versa.

Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 24 January 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
