A man has died after his car veered off the road and crashed on the A12 near Brentwood.

Officers were called after a Renault Kangoo left the road near the Brook Street roundabout on the London-bound carriageway at around 3.30am on Saturday, December 30.

The driver sadly died at the scene.

Police have identified the man as Jamie Robson, aged 25, of Beckton, London.

His family have asked for privacy at this sad time.
