A man has died following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Brentwood.
Emergency services were called to London Road shortly after 9.10pm yesterday evening, Friday, March 16 with reports that a silver Mercedes had collided with a pedestrian.
Sadly, a man in his 60s, died at the scene, despite the efforts of officers and paramedics.
The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man from Chigwell was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
We would particularly like to speak to a woman who was driving a white car who briefly stopped to speak to the driver of the Mercedes following the collision, but left before emergency services arrived.
