A HIGHLY-ranked racer is hoping to inspire other kids to follow their dreams after winning a British title.
Charlie Ratford first started go-karting when he was 12 at Teamsport in Basildon.
He quickly became a recognised member and currently holds the track record there for the fastest lap.
Charlie then moved to more competitive outdoor racing where he gained experience and racing knowledge to compete at top level.

The successful racer is currently ranked third in the UK and 59th globally in the Sodi world series.
Charlie qualified for the British Indoor Karting Championship through Teamsport and competed at the final in Warrington last Thursday.
His determination and hard work paid off after he came in first place - bringing home the British title and a huge trophy.
