BRENTWOOD Town joint-boss Adam Flanagan felt like an opportunity had been missed after his team’s 1-1 draw away to second-placed Harlow Town.
Sherwin Stanley gave Brentwood a first-half lead, but David Cowley equalised for the home side two minutes after the break.
Harlow’s Shane Stamp was sent off with little under 20 minutes to go, but Brentwood were unable to take advantage as they, too, ended the match a man light after Danny Dafter was shown a straight red in stoppage time.
Brentwood remain fourth in Ryman Division One North following the draw, while the point means they have now exceeded last season’s points total.
Flanagan said: “Coming here and getting a point is a sign of how far we have progressed.”
But he added: “In the second half, our decision-making and our discipline were terrible.”
