TOM Richardson made a great start to life at Brentwood Town, by scoring the equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Wroxham.
Remy Gordon put the Yachtsmen ahead in what was third versus fourth in Ryman League Division One North, but Richardson’s 65th minute header ensured Brentwood left Norfolk with a point to show for their efforts.
The Blues were slow off the mark, allowing Jack Garrod a golden opportunity to score for the hosts inside the first minute, but he blasted well over the bar.
In the 27th minute Wroxham made the breakthrough. Finch provided the assist with a neat ball through to Gordon whowas in space inside the box and his low angled shot found the net.
Brentwood were the better side for much of the second half, but they had their keeper to thank for ensuring Wroxham didn’t increase their lead shortly after the restart, but from then on Brentwood took control.
Sherwin Stanley and Bantick were both denied by Pride, but in the 65th minute the Blues deservedly grabbed the equaliser. Bantick’s inswinging corner was met by Richardson who headed in off the underside of the crossbar from six yards.
